Common tourist visa is issued to foreign citizens for a short-term stay in the country for the purpose of tourism (going to cultural events, excursions, sight-seeing).
To apply for a tourist visa you need to provide TOURIST CONFIRMATION issued by a Russian travel agency or a Russian hotel which has the license to invite foreign tourists
Please note, that “Hotel Booking Confirmation” is not regarded as Tourist Confirmation.
If you visit Russia as a registered Cruise Vessel passenger, you do not need a visa for 72 hours provided you spend nights onboard and follow the group when leaving the vessel.
Tourist visa can be valid for a single or double entry.Currently, only United States citizens are entitled to apply for Multiple Entry Tourist visa according to the Visa Agreement with Russia.
Double entry tourist visa is issued to foreign citizen only in cases when, according to the documents, the tourist plans to visit other states neighboring Russia during their visit to the country (countries of the near abroad (CIS, Baltic states)) or states from which they will return through the Russian territory. The route must be stated on the tourist’s ticket.
Tourist visa application must be made at least 4 working days prior to planned entry into Russia.
The maximum length of stay while travelling to Russia on a tourist visa is 30 days.
Electronic Visa to Russia
Starting from 08 August 2017 citizens of Algeria, Bahrain, Brunei, India, Iran, Qatar, the People's Republic of China, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Kuwait, Morocco, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Tunisia, Turkey and Japan can use a specialized website of Russian MFA (http://electronic-visa.kdmid.ru ) to apply for a single-entry Tourist visa in the form of an electronic document (electronic visa) to visit the territory of the free port of Vladivostok, Russian Federation.
Electronic visa is issued free of charge based on an online application of a foreign citizen no later than 4 days before the proposed date of arrival and with a digital photo attached to the application in the form of an electronic file. No additional documents are required.
Electronic visa is valid within 30 days starting from the date of issue and allow 8 days residence in the Russian Federation starting from the date of arrival.
Visa fees vary depending on the nationality of the applicant, visa type, number of entries and processing time.
Please note that in addition to the visa fee applicants are required to pay the Russian Visa Application Centre Service Charge of 297 HKD for each visa application.
Payments can be made at the Russian Visa Application Centre in Hong Kong dollars in cash only.
All payments made are non-refundable.
Visa application form must be filled in on-line, printed out and signed personally by the applicant.
Passport: original and copy of its vital pages
Passport must have at least two empty pages and must expire not earlier than in six months after trip to Russia

Please make sure you have written down the access password of your application in case the form needs to be amended.
You will have to print out the Visa Application form, glue your photo to the form, sign the form personally and indicate the date of submission.
